About rheumatology in general
Rheumatology is a conservative (non-operative) field dealing with inflammatory and abrasive diseases of the muscles, joints and spine, and the treatment of osteoporosis.
In the case of long-standing, recurring or immediate pain, which can occur specifically in the back, waist, hips, wrists, shoulders, ankles, neck, the rheumatology examination can provide a solution.
Our specialists also have extensive experience in the treatment of pain resulting from disc lesions, degenerative lesions, and certain types of neuritis.

It is a mistake to think that only the elderly are affected. Pain and inflammation can complicate the daily lives of people of all ages and can prevent them from working or engaging in active leisure activities. Sprains and strains can happen to anyone, regardless of age or gender. The risk of osteoporosis increases in women over 40 or after menopause, and it is worth screening for osteoporosis.

The examination
After a review of the medical history, a physical examination is performed, which includes an assessment of the musculoskeletal and joint system, and examination of the limb range of motion. In the case of a specific complaint, if the available data are sufficient, a diagnosis is made and therapy is recommended.
In case of acute pain, immediate injection or infusion treatment is used. If necessary, we can also help you organise further examinations at our partner institutions (X-ray, MRI, CT scan, joint ultrasound).
Our therapy department was put together based on practical experience, our physiotherapist assistants and physiotherapists are specialized in different types of therapy, so everyone receives care according to their pain and complaints. We believe in complex therapies. In the treatment of Rheumatoid arthritis, we represent the harmonic principle, and we adjust and maintain drug therapy accordingly. With continuous control, we strive to use the most necessary amount of medicine.

Rheumatological examination
What does a rheumatologist test?
Rheumatology is the non-surgical (conservative) treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and painful diseases. Diseases can be inflammatory or degenerative, affecting the joints, spine, soft tissue, cartilage and bone.
Test methods
- after consultation, assessment of the musculoskeletal system
- assessment of muscle tone, reflexes
- a proposal to carry out further tests (X-rays, blood tests)
- immediate injection treatment in acute cases
Who are the people concerned?
It is a mistake to think that only the elderly are affected, as chronic pain can make life difficult for people of all ages and can prevent them from working or engaging in active leisure activities.
However, it is important to note that the medical examination is only carried out for patients over the age of 18.
