About spine medicine in general

Spinal diseases can be diverse. They can result from developmental disorders, injuries, overload, inflammation, or “wear and tear.” In our office, the most common cause of spinal complaints is a disc problem.

We deal with the conservative (non-operative) treatment of spinal diseases in a comprehensive manner, which involves both the static adjustment of the bony structure and the restoration of the surrounding muscle and connective tissue system.

The pain resulting from spinal complaints can be intense, long-lasting, and can even affect our everyday activities. Contrary to popular belief, a small percentage of spinal hernias and other spinal diseases require surgery; they can be resolved with conservative, complex treatment in teamwork.

When is it worth choosing a private spine clinic?

Who are the people concerned?

It is a mistake to believe that only the elderly are affected. Due to an incorrect, sedentary lifestyle, our spine is overloaded more than it should be, wears out faster and develops “wear and tear” and “overload” changes, which can cause unpleasant, radiating pain due to local inflammation. Inflammation can irritate the nerve fibers exiting the spinal canal and in many cases can generate pain that tests our pain tolerance.

When should you see a doctor?

  • you have persistent neck, back and/or waist pain that interferes with your peace and everyday life
  • which is not cured by creams and medicines available in pharmacies
  • muscle stiffness characterizes your entire back
  • the pain has not subsided for more than three weeks
  • you have pain radiating from the spine and joints of unknown origin
  • the radiating pain occurs in the thigh and buttocks
  • if you experience more serious symptoms such as urinary and fecal incontinence, inability to move a muscle or limb

The examination

After reviewing the medical history, a physical examination follows, which includes an assessment of the musculoskeletal and joint systems, and examination of limb movement limits. In the case of a specific complaint, if the available data is sufficient, a diagnosis is made and a recommendation for the application of therapy is made.

In case of acute pain, immediate injection or infusion treatment is used. If necessary, we can also help you organise further examinations at our partner institutions (X-ray, MRI, CT scan, joint ultrasound).

Our therapy department was created based on practical experience, our physiotherapy assistants and physiotherapists specialize in different types of therapy, so everyone receives specific care tailored to their pain and complaint. We believe in complex therapies.
